Our Services
At Sandles, Honeyman, Price and Associates, we understand the importance of taking an active approach to rehabilitation. The therapist and the patient act as partners in establishing and achieving treatment goals. Good health is a shared responsibility. All patients are given a detailed biomechanical assessment of muscle, joint and alignment problems by a registered orthopaedic physiotherapist.
Individualized treatment programs are based on assessment findings and personal work and leisure requirements. The patient’s program may include the following components:
•Exercise: In our clinic gym as well as home programs
•Manual Therapy: Peripheral and spinal mobilization and manipulation
•Education: Individual and group settings
•Pain Management/Physical Therapy Modalities
•Acupuncture
•IMS (Intramuscular Stimulation)
•Taping
•Orthotics
•Vestibular Rehabilitation (dizziness and balance disorders)
•Hand Therapy: including custom braces and splints
Facilities and Equipment:
Both Burnaby Heights and 8 Rinks Physiotherapy Clinics are well equipped with rehabilitation equipment. The gym areas have pulleys, weights, core-boards, shuttles, therapy balls, bikes and various other tools designed to address the rehabilitation of strength, endurance, stability, flexibility, balance, coordination and proprioception. Home exercise programs are also an integral part of each individualized treatment program. Our clinics are able to provide both sports specific and work specific rehabilitation programs.
